Catalina Motel
in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario
and the Companion Hotel-Motel in Hearst Ontario now offer a train package that includes
your stay in Sault Ste. Marie,
your stay in Hearst, and your Tour of the Line train tickets. The first night
of your arrival in Sault Ste. Marie
you will stay one night at the Catalina Motel.
Catalina will
have your train tickets when you arrive, and the next morning you will be headed
295 miles north to Hearst.

If you take the
Silver package you will be staying one night at The Companion,
and
Platinum three nights in Hearst. While in Hearst you
can take in some of the northern scenery. If touring in the winter, there
are many trails for your snow machines. On your way back you will stay at
Catalina Motel before your departure.
If you are traveling in a group, with children, or with snow machines, please call
us at 1-800-561-9810 for custom "Tour of the Line"
packages. Train departs year round northbound on Wednesday, Friday,
and Sunday, Southbound Thursday,
Saturday, and Monday.
Hearst is a town of about 6,000 people. If you are
wanting to get away from the busy, city life and just want to relax, Hearst is the
place to go.
Passengers need to make provisions for food on the train. There is a microwave
and mini-fridge on the train. You are permitted to bring a coolder on the train and there are restaurants in
Sault Ste. Marie and Hearst that will provide a boxed lunch for your journey. Passengers
are not permitted to bring on alcoholic beverages for consumption on the train.
I would suggest bringing your own food in a cooler, especially
if you are prone to sugar imbalances or diabetes. There is a grocery store
that is located next door to Catalina Motel in Sault Ste. Marie that is open 24
hours.
If you make a package reservation with Catalina Motel, they
will reserve your train tickets and have them at the motel generally the day before
your tour, reserve your motel room in Sault Ste. Marie at Catalina Motel and your
room in Hearst at the Companion.
